Yes, the CIA & FBI crucified #Schulte for the embarrassing #Vault7 leak to @wikileaks@twitter.com . . . but the bigger takeaway is the utter normalization of using the #EspionageAct against media sources & whistleblowers. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/07/13/cia-engineer-theft-convicted-00045674

Don't get me started on #Impact.

The reason why Bolton openly confesses orchestrating coups is that he knows the chances of being punished for it are exactly zero.
US foreign policy has been a bipartisan consensus for more than 70 years.
RT @davidsirota@twitter.com
A functioning Democratic Congress serious about enforcing the law would subpoena Bolton to disclose under oath which coups he orchestrated https://twitter.com/acyn/status/1546954718458662912

Imagine the outrage if an official of any other country (e.g. Russia) was confessing this. But because it's the US, it's no big deal — they're the good guys by axiom, so the “journalist” doesn't even bat an eye. Perfect example of propaganda.

Jake Tapper: "One doesn’t have to be brilliant to attempt a coup."
John Bolton: "I disagree with that. As somebody who has helped plan coup d’etat, not here, but other places, it takes a lot of work."

We should use our own algorithms, running locally on our own machines, on our own data, gathered and shared in a p2p way from the feeds we follow. No reason at all for our communications to be centralized in big monetization silos — the sole reason why the current internet sucks.
RT @CT_Bergstrom@twitter.com
At the very least, social media platforms should be required to provide users with the ability to opt into algorithmic feeds of their own choice—and those choices should stick, rather than reverting to the platform's default after a little while.

I find it alarming how often claims about the performance of graph neural networks tend to crumble upon closer inspection.
The paper below shows how simple greedy algorithms can outperform GNNs by a factor of 10⁴.
