Pretending that science is apolitical doesn't make it so.

Science is not the One True Path, but rather an inherently social activity in which human actors respond to incentives created by social norms and institutions that emerged by happenstance over the past few centuries.


There is a huge difference between recognizing that science is made by humans and hence is subject to biases, and *deliberately imposing* a bias. The former does not justify the latter — which is just a type of fraud.
