At the very least, social media platforms should be required to provide users with the ability to opt into algorithmic feeds of their own choice—and those choices should stick, rather than reverting to the platform's default after a little while.


We should use our own algorithms, running locally on our own machines, on our own data, gathered and shared in a p2p way from the feeds we follow. No reason at all for our communications to be centralized in big monetization silos — the sole reason why the current internet sucks.
